Context
La Brasserie du Barbu is a local craft brewery in Danjoutin, eastern France. The project was part of my final exam – a larger group brief where I handled the art direction, branding, logo rework, and website design.
The client had an existing logo they were attached to. The brief wasn’t to replace it – it was to build something modern around it without breaking the continuity they’d already established. That’s a harder problem than starting from scratch.
Identity
Rather than redesigning the logo, I preserved its overall structure while simplifying the forms and refining the lines. A subtle ink-bleed effect was introduced to reinforce the handcrafted, printed quality that felt true to how the brewery actually operates.
The broader identity was built around textures and materials referencing craft paper and traditional printing techniques – not as decoration, but as a direct expression of the brewery’s artisanal production and eco-responsible values. The visual language needed to feel like it came from the same place the beer did.
Website
The web design extended the same visual logic into a digital format – keeping the craft aesthetic legible on screen without flattening it into something generic.
UGC campaign
Outside of the exam brief, I took the project further. I developed a UGC campaign concept using AI tools – Nano Banana and Veo3 – starting with a defined persona and a moodboard to anchor the visual direction, then generating lifestyle imagery of that persona interacting with the brand. Some of those visuals were animated into short promotional content.
